Has anyone tried one of these windshields and if so how does it do?

I love mine, though it's a little bit taller than the stock screen. I'm 5'10" and now need to peer just a bit higher than before when doing in-town riding with the screen all the way down. The clarity is amazing and for that reason makes the switch worthwhile particularly when I'm on higher-speed roads where I like to watch for debris that might be in front of me. I don't notice any difference with wind dynamics, but I've always been a bit dull about such trivial matters, so don't take my advice in that regard.

I put it on about 3k miles ago. not as quiet as my stock windshield with a laminar lip, but it looks good and works well. The only time it's noisy is when there's wind. I don't like looking through it, but had to going through rain and snow. Not bad at all.

I'm content with it. Not sure what would make me giddy.

I put one on three months and removed it after a week. The Vstream is a little taller than the standard windshield. I am 5' 11" and the top lip is in my line of sight. I would have to try to look above or bent down to look for objects in the road. I also noticed a flutter at very high speeds, the Vstream is not as thick as the standard windshield.

Good luck,

I put one on my RT about 2 years ago and really liked it. The wind noise was reduced and it cleans up very easily. It was a nice improvement from the original which came scratched up from the original owner. My LT has the original which is big enough to sheild me from the elements. Ride Safely!

I installed one on my 2003 LTC in December of last year. I love it! The only downside is that I noticed a small decrease in my fuel millage.
Also, shorter riders will only be able to look through the screen rather than over it at the lowest position. At six foot, with the screen in the lowest position, I still have to sit real tall in the seat to be able to look over it.

Have had it on since December of last year and love it.
1. My passenger is the reason for the switch as she feels the big difference.
2. Unable to look over it, even at the lowest height and being six feet tall.
3. Have seen a notable decrease in the MPG area.
4. Much clearer than the OEM.

All in all, I like it!

I had the VStream for awhile and it was ok. I'm 6' and also had the top of the screen right in my line of site while all the way down. I also noticed it to be noisier than the stock and my Cee Baileys. On my LT, I couldnt raise it if I was over 50mph or so, windshield motor just didnt have enough umph.

Quality was great and it fit with no problems, just wasnt for me.

Good luck!

I bought one but didnt like it and took it off and sold it. I'm 6' and found that with it down to look over the top, it was noisier than the stock one. When I had it up, there was far more buffeting on my helmet.
Stock one was better for me.

I love mine! I tried stock with a laminar lip. Cee Bailey, and the vstream is the best one I have had on the bike. I get a much better flow of air to my sides which helps in venting when I am on the highway. I get absolutely no back pressure at speed like I did with all the others. When I need to replace this one I will put on another.

Every time I see a windshield post, I say the same thing. You can not really make a decision on which one to buy by listening to others experience. Body differences (legs and torso ratio) make it almost impossible to do so. Unless you have bottomless resources and can buy, sell, buy and sell until you find the one that works for you, I suggest you go to a big rally, like Americade or the BMW Rallys (MOA and RA) and try them out.

After trying a Cee Baily and not being happy with it, I went to last year's MOA Rally in Wisconcin. I tried out the various windshields and ended up buying the VStream. Having said that, I would say it is not the one I would buy for myself, but it is the one my passenger said was most comfortable for her. I am happy with the quality, fit and costs. My passenger is happy, therefore so am I as 60% of my riding is 2up.
