Does anyone have any personal comparison of an RT to an RS?

I spent the past few years on an LT.....had targeted the RT to be the next bike ....but I have run across a nice RS bike.....wondering about the ergonomics versus the RT.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Which RS are you referring too? K12RS ? R11xxRS ? Either way neither one of them is as comfortable as an RT. The R11xxRS's were never big sellers because they had the same motor as an RT and were no where near as comfortable. As you know the K motor has lots of power and is VERY smooth (130BHP in a KRS) but again a fairly sport riding position compared to and RT or LT.

 

I went from a K12RS to the R12RT.... almost exclusively due to the ergonomics.

The RS was great in all respects except it was just not comfortable- for me...and we tried very hard to make it so. After spending a good bit of money on it, I consulted with my main-man mechanic and shop owner. I asked him if I had the wrong set-up or the wrong bike... he paused and looked me in the eyes and said- Bob, you have the wrong bike....

Sold the RS, got the RT... lived happily ever after.

bought a used 1150RT sunday
lots lighter than the LT
not as comfy on the highway but bearable
needs electronic cruise for sure!
