K1300GT Final drive fluid change, light brown?

I generally do my own maintenance on my bikes but the last final drive oil change was done by the dealer. It was due again, changed it this morning and the fluid came out milky brown. I flushed with it with 200 ml of clean fluid. Filled it back up, put everything together and went for a 120 mile ride in the mountains. Everything seems fine.

Anybody seen light brown fluid being used at dealers?

Any ideas?

Not all gear lubes are dyed red or some other color but the milkiness indicates water contamination.
Change it again in 4 or 5 K miles and see if you've got the water gone (allows enough time for the new oil to collect any remaining water and rain it out at next change)

A little bit of greyish cloudiness might just be normal gear wear debris but a white milkiness is water emulsified into the oil. A tiny bit of milkiness around a vent is nothing to worry about but if its in all the oil, may be that a bunch more water is getting in than should.
