I have a 2008rt. Thinking about adding highway pegs and leaning towards either Sahara or ELF pegs. At first the looks of them unfolded didn't really turn me on too much but I like the looks when folded up and out of the way.

But they look alike. ("Sahara vs ELF") Are they the same thing, just being called a different name? What are your opinions about them? Do they place too heavy an amount of stress on the valve covers?

Thanks for your answers in advance!!! :wave

I don't like anything messing with the valve covers. I bought the Illium Works folding pegs that don't mount to the heads. You should give them a look.

Same here. They attach to the frame, so a bit sturdier than attaching to the head covers. And, they don't look too bad.

+++++ on the Ilium Works touring pegs. I have knees that start to really ache after an hour and I needed something. Just installed the Ilium pegs and did 250 miles last Saturday. Ahhhh, to stretch out the legs was great. I put on long socks and tucked in the pants because the wind really blows up the leg.
