Cruise control problem

Good day. I read the discussion and I don't have a solution to my problem 🤔 I have a BMW K1200lt (2005-newer model) My cruise control regularly cuts out at 80 km/h and above. If I drive at a lower speed, everything works fine. I have repeatedly performed diagnostics according to this forum. Everything works correctly. I can also hear the sound of the switches... You have no solution to my problem. Thank you
Any correlation with hitting a bump or temperature? My cruise started acting weird when I was traveling to Alaska. It would work fine in warm weather, but once below 50 if I hit any sort of bump at all it would kick off. I found that holding forward pressure on the clutch lever would help keep it engaged. Once I got back to warmer weather in the US, it worked fine until winter arrived. I finally took things apart on the left controls and found the screw that holds the microswitches in place was a little loose. Tightened that up and the problem disappeared. I am not sure why it was temperature dependent, but the cooler temps must have moved something just enough to make it flakey.

Thank you for the tip. It does this to me on the freeway, but also on a normal road. I also do not understand the connection between the speed of the motorcycle and the functionality of the cruise control... The temperature was pleasantly summer... Thank you
I don’t recall what, if any, limits are programmed into the LT, but most cruise controls on cars have both an upper and lower limit. Most won’t engage below 20 MPH or so and many limit the top speed of use to around 80. I am pressure sure I have used my LT cruise up to at least 80, but I don’t think I’ve tried it much higher than that.

I doubt your issue is directly speed related. it may be indirectly related due to a vibration harmonic or such from the engine that might be triggering a loose or flakey switch on the clutch, brakes or throttle body.
