First post! Hi guys and gals, just a question for anyone whom I'm hoping would have some insight. I had an 02 LT , sold it a few years ago, and finally was pleased to pick up a 09 a couple of weeks ago.
Anyway, I would like to know if any of you all have installed XM onto the bike without a FM modulator? or if its even possible to do so.
Many Thanks in advance!!

I had a 2009 LT and installed an XM radio without a modulator. Mounted the radio/antenna on the front brake master cylinder. Can't remember who's bracket I used. Picked up power from the map light. Ran the audio out under the handle bar covers and under the tupperware. Drilled a small hole in side of the oddiment box and plugged the audio into the AUX port. Worked like a charm. Obviously you can't switch channels using the bikes audio controls but you can adjust volume with them. Still have the unused modulator I bought sittting in my garage. Oh well live and learn.
So there is an aux in behind the cd player?
XM lost my business long ago, customer service was the pits. I use pandora on the smart phone now. Better music selection.

My bike had the factory COMM system. It's been over a year since I had the bike but the AUX plug was in the front of the unit.

me too. I canceled and then they later charged my card. Had to settle with credit card dispute.

sorry about the hijack.

When I had XM it was going through my GPS then to my intercom then to my headsets. It was nice while it lasted.

Just looked at my old V.O.I.C.E II COMM manual. Sorry to say the AUX jack was part of the COMM system that mounted on top the CD player.
