Decided to go with the Wunderlich GPS mount for my 2011 RT.

Where is the best place to get one other than Wunderlich?

Don't supposed anyone has one for sale. Has to be the one for a 2011.

Thanks,
Greg

The Wunderlich installation instruction were not the totally clear to me but laying everything out on a piece of cardboard it started making sense. Unfortunately the fellow in Germany that packed them put two right side guards in the package instead of one for each side. Dual Sport is working on it and hope to hear in the morning the time frame to fix this.

I guess I will have the left bar in a day or so, talked to a fellow who said he must have made the mistake. I had already installed the part under the engine and across the front so I also installed the right bar. My wife said if I did not tell her she would have thought that was the way the bike came and then she looked at the side with no bar and she thought it actually looked better with the bar installed. So other than the shipping mistake I am very happy with the product.

P.S. I looked at the Wunderlich GPS mount but taking the dash apart kind of scared me. Please let us know how the installation goes. What GPS are you going to mount on the bike?

I have been using the Zumo 220.
I wanted a basic unit that was able to send voice prompts to my bluetooth helmet. I didn't need all the other bells and whistles. So far I have been really happy with it.

I have read of someone else that installed the Wunderlich GPS mount.
He didn't bother taking apart the dash to install the support bracket underneath the dash. He said the OEM BMW GPS mount does not use a support bracket so he figured the Wunderlich did not need it either.
Said the Wunderlich mount has worked flawlessly for a few thousand miles.

Glad you are being taken care of by Wunderlich.

I have the Wunderlich GPS mount and love it. It puts my Zumo 660 up where it is easy to see, expecially with the BMW tank bag. Installation is not easy, but can be done if you follow the directions and figure out the pictures. It took me about less than 1 1/2 hours to mount mine.
