If I am not mistaken, this goes to the Powerlet outlet on the fairing near the rider's left knee position. There is also one like this on the right side that did not get the outlet, just this type of plug. The one on the right is often confused with the fuel pump power.

The right side is an optional outlet. I used mine for a standard cig lighter since the BMW plug is on the left. It is tucked away and not used... unless you choose to.

Added cig lighter style plug on right.

I also have another question. I am having some ticking noise after replacing my cylinder head. Is it possible to upload a short video to hear the sound?

I believe you attach video file (the paper clip), unless it's on YouTube, in which case the "insert media" option allows URL to link the video.
