I presently mount my Gopro to my helmet and for the most part that works well, but it seems that my head is on a swivel a lot of the time and I miss some good stuff. I have tried mounting it to the windshield with the suction mount, and I had a tether attached, just didn't like this arrangement.

What I would like is a claw like device that has rubber on claws and you could tightened to the shield with some type of set screw, just seems too simple and I thought someone would make it. Called Revzilla, and talked to a "geek" their name not mine, and ask him about it, he says one does not exist that he knows of, claims that it would vibrate loose.

Does anyone know if such an animal exist?

I had my GoPro mounted between the headlight and windshield, using the standard mounts they come with as well as a security tether just in case, and mounted the wifi remote onto the stingray. I didn't trust the suction cup mount and that mechanism is somewhat heavy and bulky if it breaks loose and starts flopping around on a tether.

The biggest problem I had with the GoPro system was battery life, especially the wifi remote. The advantage of mounting the camera under the windshield is that you could route a charging cable from the camera to the powerlet plug on the right hand side, but the disadvantage would be losing weatherproofing from rain, as GoPro did not/does not offer a weatherproof case with a window for the charging cable. :bmw:

I use one of these on my K1600GT. Expensive, but secure.

I also have a RAM mount on the right hand side of the handlebar. With my Gopro Hero 5, I could charge it from the right hand power supply, but this no longer works for a Hero 6/7.

I use two Gopro's with Smart Remotes and you cannot charge a Hero 6 or 7 and use the Smart Remote.

So, its battery time.
