Hey anybody out there having a problem with the windshield not returning to the previous held position after a restart? Mine all of a sudden doesn't remember where it was before I shut it down....maybe the limiter switch or possibly software?

Any source of resistance that could impede the travel that didn't exist before?

No I don't think so as I can use the switch on the Handle to move it to any position needed. It also closes properly when the bike shuts off. It just doesn't remember the last User setting after a restart as it is suppose to and did before....I guess I will have to bring it in under warranty ...thanks.

Hey, I was able to fix my problem myself....I did a restore to factory defaults on the computer using the controller. This corrected the windshield memory issue and I don't seem to have cause any new problems by doing this. This may have happened when I disconnected the battery terminal while installing my new stebel nautilus horn. It just took a while for me to notice it. I hope this info may help someone else out there ...thanks, Kipper.

Is this something that is explained in the manual? How did you restore the defaults?

Good Morning Dan, I am not sure that it is in the manual or not but here is how I got to it....using the Menu button and the controller wheel on the handlebar grip, select the user entry-then factory settings-then reset...this is probably the last resort but it worked for me. I hope that you don't have to use it...Kipper. :wave

Just wanted to echo here...I had the same issue. Windshield memory was working fine on my 2013 K1600 GTL...but suddenly stopped returning to the "last riding position". It returned to the lowest position fine at shutdown and the manual raise/lower button worked fine. I read here to try the Factory Reset option...so I did...restarted the bike and road down the driveway...and the windshield came right up...just like downtown! Thank you! :)
