Just had my 2002 K1200LT brake flush performed at a BMW dealer. I was getting a intermittent brake fault and thought the brake flush might cure the problem. After the flush tech did pressure test and found low pressure front. He reset fault and it cleared. Tech took bike for test ride and said abs was working fine but when he got on brakes a fault came back in. Tech put bike on computer a again read low pressure fault front. At this point the service manager ask the tech to stop working on the bike since I had only authorized a brake flush. I rode the bike home from dealer and everything was fine. I have noticed since that time if I step on the rear brake really hard or squeeze the front brake really hard the red triangle comes on, but will go off after easing off on brakes. So my question is beside part # 34517685803 Pressure modulator which is the fully integral abs, is their any other thing to look at first? The reason I ask is the initial pressure test passes when first starting up. The fault will always reset on cycling the bike on an off. Is there a way to measure pressure at the pump itself, and if so what would a good reading be? Beyond the pump is the brake line and calibers. Inspected both and all seems. I have located a used pump off of a 2005 with only 14k and thinking about replacing mine with the used one. So quy's need advice as to what to check next or just go ahead and have pump replaced. New pump is $2498 used pump $1095. Also known good battery and fluid levels.
