I just recently purchased a K1200LT and was wondering if anyone could recommend a dealership / mechanic to utilize for repairs / servicing should i need them?

Both dealers have good people working there. The best BMW dealer in Texas is in Austin, Lone Star BMW. Many people from San Antonio, Houston & DFW all come here for service. You will be OK with ant of the 3.

The one in ft worth is cheaper but not stafed as good as the one in Dallas.

Had some issues with ft. worth. they made it right but it was a hassle.

The tech at dallas is probably the best, they stole him from ft worth.

I have bought four bikes from Elvis, Jr. at BMW of North Dallas, and I can highly recommend George as an excellent mechanic. You can tell them I sent you. Hopefully they won't charge you extra!

The fort worth guys are a bit more flexible when it comes to scheduling. And the Plano guys have a bit more personality, like Elvis. Marin the service manager at Plano is a nice guy he just is not the the most charismatic and engaging. Some times it is hard to get in at the Plano store because of back logs. Visit with both shops and then decide. The service manager at Fort Worth is very engaging, friendly and just a good guy. Marin, I consider a friend but you have to warm up to him and even then he is not the warmest of personaliities. Hang out at the shops and then decide.

I will visit Plano- I have bought helmets at the Ft Worth store got a Shoei X Eleven for $249. couldnt beat it with a stick!
