What did you do to your RT today?

Working on the RT is a little bit of therapy and a break from my daily work routine.
Spent a couple of hours this afternoon replacing the RH cylinder head cover and detailing the bike for a weekend ride. Last week I completed the 100,000KM service, including the valve and ignition timing checks (thanks Boxflyer for your assistance).
Hopefully it stays dry this weekend..

2010 R1200RT

Unfroze slide pins on the rear caliper and installed new pads. Bled rear and front brake system.

Front pads are at 4mm thickness.

Inspected front and rear tires. 3mm on front and 2mm on rear.

New Road Smart 4s for the 1250RT (2019). Combined Texas roads in Hill country, flat flat flat roads in WI, trip to CO, and GA, just over 9000 miles. Starting to cup and be a bit noisy in front, and next week heading to WV and VA for a week, so wanted to have newer rubber.

Hmm, at a glance, that seat you're replacing doesn't look like OEM. Upgrading over a past upgrade?

I got the World Sport Performance Seat, CFX/Black welt, with the BMW tag, standard height, heated, rider plus pillion. Curious: What did you get? Looks like "no welt"? I dunno, just looks different.

Nice looking seat, but "looking" ain't what it's about, right? 😁 Congrats, enjoy.

(Note: All I can say is that I am THRILLED that I bought it back when I did on a "Black Friday" sale, for less than $800. I noticed that they're having their "May MEGA Sale", and now it's "only" $1100. 😨 With this "no inflation" economy, I gotta buy stuff faster and faster, before my apparently worthless cash runs out. But, I digress, and that stuff could REALLY take this thread sideways off topic. 😁 )

Not sure what the differences would be in appearance. I went with the pilot seat only as the wife isn't a fan riding on this compared to the old 'Wing (sits too close she says). Grabbed this during the mega sale so saved a little over $100USD on it. Hoping to get out for a ride tomorrow to try her out.

Removed my HeliBars to try out the Ilium Bar Backs. My biggest reason for this is because HeliBars increases the width of the bars by two inches. I believe the less wide grip will keep the shoulders in a more comfortable/ergonomic position. I believe slow speed maneuvering will also be easier with the Ilium product. It was really a reach to get the HeliBars to full lock. It feels much easier to get the Ilium bars to full lock.

Ordered more parts which arrived yesterday (ya I've got GAS -Aka Gear Acquisition Syndrome- caught it off my BF 🤣). So got some parts from Wunderlich like front fender extender, sidestand extender, side panel protection bars, and few more parts - think I bought most of their available parts for her now! This weekend is a Bank holiday here so aim to fit most of it and go spinning about. If everything aligns

looks great, did the same on my 2022 and had them make me a coiple of red ones for the lids. I also like your placement or your clearwater brake light, did the same.

looked at the Calsci shorty and checked the OEM screen mounting. looks like Calsci only has 4 mounting holes vs the oem 6. I'll see if I can mount it just with the 4 screws that go through the mounting plates and skip the two (that arent drilled in the Calsci screen). or maybe will have to drill them myself. May reflect the relatively low price vs the Aeroflow short screen - 2x the $.
