What did you do to your RT today?

146562 Views 1324 Replies 153 Participants Last post by  Scott9999
Working on the RT is a little bit of therapy and a break from my daily work routine.
Spent a couple of hours this afternoon replacing the RH cylinder head cover and detailing the bike for a weekend ride. Last week I completed the 100,000KM service, including the valve and ignition timing checks (thanks Boxflyer for your assistance).
Hopefully it stays dry this weekend..

I just received the Skene P3 brake lights for my 2013. Can’t wait to install them. Was looking for a clean third brake light option, and I discovered these on this forum.

Reset the service reminder, it seems I forgot when I did the last service. 😳

Added a square of velcro to the end of the USB/audio cable. Keeps the cable and compartment organized.

Thursday I installed the Old Timers navigation lock

And I installed the fairing tab repair from Clearwater to replace the one broken tab on my fairing.

Replaced burned out right headlight (2010 RT), and heavy clean from a quick ride to KY from WI and back in mostly rain!

224 mile ride and then a clean up, wheels had lots of white sandy/powdery 'stuff' on them. I've ridden this route before without my bike being so dirty. It was mid 60's when I started and low 70's and sunny when I finished. Lovely ride.

Today, I changed my summer screen for my winter one - from the standard screen to the Werks Quiet Ride - the cooler weather is coming to Melbourne!

Debugged the windscreen is about it, and marveled at how trouble-free my '16 has been since day 1, now at 48K miles.

Added more bugs to the front. I wish someone would come over and wash my bike for free.

I've have had the Old Timers navigation lock on my '19 1250RT for over two years now. Terrific product.

I had no clue there was a tab repair kit available. Thanks for posting the link. I have one on mine that's broken.

A third brake Light? Where would you put that?

I'm happy enough with two: The standard one and the extra one in the top case.

I don't typically ride with my top case. I have the Skene lights flanking my license plate. The Skenes are using a brake modulator, the OEM isn't.

I’m just used to calling them third brake lights. I just added the two here seen in the pic

Got my Pazzo Levers in today's mail. I'll install them after I get a new battery for my digital calipers so I can get accurate measurements of the actuator shaft on each lever.

Agree that its getting cooler. Loaded the Nav VI tonight for the 45th Anniversary Rally.
While many US members are about to head to Maggie Valley, I'm looking forward to the BMW Rally in Maldon, Vic this weekend.. Hopefully the weather stays dry.

I picked up my fender from the dealer. They nicked it when I had the recall done.

That was pretty much the extent of "what I did to my RT today"
