I am thinging about changing my clutch,rear main and tranny seals. I can make the special tools that I will need execpt for the v-shaped alignment tool that holds the clutch pilot tool. does anybody know if I have to have this tool? Thanks,

You mean to hold the clutch disc centered while you tighten down the plates?
If so, find a long socket sized so it will just fit over the push rod. I think a 1/2 drive will fit inside the clutch splines.

Dan is right. Very easy to do even eye-balling the center with no alignment tool. I used a wooden dowel and masking tape but then realised I didn't even need that.

As you can see here the ring with the rivets is very easy to center in the big hole.

When I did my clutch I just wraped masking tape around the clutch rod til it fit snugly into the disc. Had no problems at all with the install.
