Is there a way to see from underneath to tell if a weep hole was drilled from PO?I have a 04 with 54000 miles nothing is wrong I just want to make sure it stays that way!

To my knowledge if it's the clutch no way to tell. But the bell housing you can. It may be easier to do on the sidestand. Lay on the ground and look at the intermediate housing (sometimes called bell housing) which is the black housing between the engine and transmission. If it's been done, you should see a small hole drilled closer to the engine than the transmission.

The weep hole normally drilled for the slave is higher up. Look above the cross section of the swing arm and the cross tube, you will see two hoses going to the slave. The hole should be drilled at the bottom of the protrusion that the slave is mounted into.

There is an excellent video series on drilling the slave weep hole, divided into three parts. I believe it is the center part that shows the drilling location. Perhaps watching the video will help guide you to where to look for the hole as well as give you a feel for the process.

Additionally, others have also drilled a hole in the lowest part of the intermediate housing. See BlauBeeMr's write-up of of the clutch/seal replacement process for more info.

Finally, the intermediate housing is black on some models. I believe they may have switched to silver in later years.

Yes, if the clutch slave weep hole has been drilled in the correct position it is clearly visible from under the bike looking up from the RH side. It should be about 4 mm diameter and it will be at about the 7 o'clock position on the rear protruding casting of the gearbox that the slave cylinder unit mounts to. I check mine frequently, easy to find as long as you have a good flash light. Pray for it to always be dry

I found myself driven out to check both weep holes after reading this thread and thought I could take pics to help out with the location. I have failed to check mine in quite a while...I was down on the ground taking these and yes--both are dry.

First view is the looking up at the slave

Second view is looking from the right side...orange marks weep hole location

Third is the bell housing which on my bike is covered by the skid plate.

But that's all you get this time.
The first photo is the clutch housing weep hole / the second is the slave weep hole.

Thanks for all your help (especially the pictures). From what I can tell there are no weep holes so it look as if i have a project ahead of me. Time to go watch those videos again! I was planning on taking all the tupperware off and have it painted so that would be a good time to do this job.
