Howdy all!
By this point, I trust everyone received my most recent April Update email, filled with details about our fast-approaching event.
I'm startin' to look at the calendar and count the days to CCR2012 in Duluth Minnesota!
Things are coming together real nice. We've got great food and great entertainment lined up. Support for the auction looks to be as generous as ever. Our Wednesday event is going to be so sensational. Even the Opening Reception is going to break spectacular new ground!
Merchandise is stellar, with a good combination of new and classic, with some interesting new items and more colors than ever seen before - especially for the ladies. (Gentlemen, I heard no less than two guys get cussed out for not buying their girl something. Don't let that happen to you. You know you have to walk past the Merchandise table as you go through Registration anyway.)
I'm really happy to see so many signed up for the Get Acquainted breakfast. If you haven't, click over to Extra Activities and do so. Not only does our Food & Beverage Chair have a heck of a spread planned for us, this is a really good opportunity to kick the week off right. Come hang for an hour, see what the plans for the week are and meet some friends - old and new. I've got a special surprise for one lucky new attendee, by the way.
Anyone like trains? Our Opening Reception is going to be hoot! I'll give ya a hint; http://lsrm.org/Home/Home.asp
As you noticed from my email, our Wednesday event is a harbor cruise. And a good number obviously noticed, because I'm really pleased with the number who have signed up so far. A ride around the harbor watching the sun set with some chow and a cocktail, seeing, up close, the most iconic visions of the great lakes will be almost impossible to beat. I'm sad to say their largest boat will only hold at a maximum, half of us, so my suggestion will be to sign up early. There's a very modest cost to cover some operating overhead for the boat company, otherwise this is quite a deal. Get on board at http://shop.curvecowboyreunion.com/product.php?productid=16216&cat=258&page=1
Finally, as always, we can use volunteers - short term (this CCR) and long term (Board of Directors). PM me if you wanna help manage this Duluth experience and/or want to get involved a little deeper. We're already looking at 2013 preliminary plans and I'd love to get y'all plugged into that event in the great state of , uh, well, we can't go releasin' all the secrets just yet.
See ya'll real soon.
