So, I'm up in Portland for a few days, and thought it would be good to get out and say hello to some folks. And maybe y'all might like to check out the new Meese Machine. I've been drilling, bolting, and lathing on it in Ernie's shop, and it's coming along quite nicely.

And it seems that there's already a dinner meet planed for this Wednesday. So, who can make it down to the Taproom? John? Art? Denny, Brian, Clayton? ;)

What: Portland Metro BMW Bike Dinner
Time: Around 5:30pm or whenever you can make it.

Where: Pyramid Breweries McTarnahan Taproom
2730 NW 31st Portland, Oregon 97210

Looking forward to seeing whoever can make it over for this. :)

Hi Ken,

Count me in. Looks like a great day for a ride down south. I called Brian to see if he could make the trip with me, but his brother from New Mexico is in town, and they are taking his boat up to the Sanjuans for a long weekend. See ya early afternoon.

Hopefully Art,John,Dan and Denny will be able to make it for dinner.

Bummer! Sorry to miss this but I am picking up my better half at the airport this evening and really would have needed a few brewskis if I did make it. Especially drooling over a new K1600GTL!

Maybe we can get a peek this weekend if you're still in town Ken?

How about some pics Ken? I hope you are having a good time in the shop while I'm away. We are having a great time on our ride. In Texas tonight.

So, you are up here house sitting and getting to use the shop while E&P are out playing. Dan and Denney are out playing. Brian, Art and John are working and tied up. Clayton probably managed to get down here. There is something wrong with this picture from my perspective. I think I need to retire.

Sorry all you working stiffs couldn't make it ha ha. Ken and I had a great time tinkering with his bike before we met up at the restaurant for dinner. I sure had a great time visiting with all the folks at the taproom meet and the food was wonderful. Ken sure is doing a great job fitting all those farkles in just the right places. I am amazed at how much room there is to add farkles especially with how much stuff is in there already. Ernie, It sure is nice of you and Pauline to lend the shop and house while your gone, very cool indeed.

Sorry to miss your new ride, Ken. Dan and I were in Yosemite Valley (via Tioga Pass) on Thursday before heading up Hwy 49 to Nevada City and then west to the coast for some Rt. 1/101 north to Coos Bay. We just got home today. If you took the coast route home we may have passed you. Photos??!!

Sounds like a great ride.

I cut east through Lakeview and then down through the Nevada desert and then 395 through California. I just couldn't see running I-5 again . . .

We'll catch up next time.
