When idling, no noise. When I speed up, I get a valve tap. I use only premium fuel.
It is a 2005 lt. Runs great, just that tapping noise. I thought the valves may need adjusted, but dealer didn't think so. Taking it in Monday. Anyone else have any issues?

Normal at low rpms for some valve chatter. Typically below 3,000 rpm - and the harder you twist, the more obvious the chatter below 3K revs. This motor really loves the 4,000 and up range.

Also the valves on the LT wear tight not loose. This is due to errosion of the valve seat rather than wear of the valve train.

It's not always the valves making the noise. It's common for lower RPM sounds to come from the tupperware or loose or broken exhaust stuff.

I vote for broken exhaust header. All too common.
