I have two more questions regarding the 2012 R1200R:

1) Does the R1200R have an auxilliary plug availble for a gps in a fashion similar to the RT? I know that the RT plug is tucked up under the front faring.

2) Do the Moto Techniques bar rises for ealier model R1200R's fit the later 2011/2012 models?

Yes Mine is in the same place as my GT was, and on the RT. It uses the same connector.

Mine was under the handlebars on the right side. It was easy to access and takes the same (overpriced ) BMW repair plug.
