I was wondering if there is pictures and instructions on changing Powertrain oil. I just want to be sure I have the correct plug when I remove it. I found one, looks like the centre stand is in the way.
Thanks.

Hi, Don. Take a look on the home page, left side, "Featured Articles" and drill down 'til you see the one for the 2005 fluid changes. This should help you a lot, bacause most of the article will apply to your bike as well. Just take your time and review as necessary. BTW - there is a handy tip about forstalling a mess by using puppy training pads under the LT to catch drippage, etc. Also makes it easy to keep track of removed screws, bolts, etc. Good luck.

For the final drive the very last bolt at the end of the final drive is for adding fluid. The bottom most bolt will be for draining the fluids. The bolt for adding fluid in fd is in the same height as the center of the wheel. The drain bolt is in the vertical line of the center of the wheel. Hope I have not added to the confusion with this info.

You will need a 14mm allen wrench for removing the transmission fluid bolt. I found it in Autozone.
