So I very nearly bought a K1200LT back in 2001/2002 but decided against it and stuck with my R1100RT.

Anyway, long story short: I've gone through a few more bikes over the intervening years and had some disappointments with the last 2 - a 1200 GSA that was sending my arms / wrists numb and a K1300S that is fantastic but my old vertebrae can't quite cope with it anymore.

So I've jumped back in time and done a deal on a 2008 K1200LT!

Now to go trawling the forum in search of wisdom - must be a few tyre threads at least!

To be really prepared to own an LT you should also check out the best color, do you ride two up, best farkle, best seat, best com system, best GPS, best helmet, best riding gear, best dealer, best windshield, best looking riding partner and last but not least the final drive thread just to put the fear of God in you.
