1593 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  WillieC
I really miss my floorboards and toe heel shifter I had on my HOG's.
I looked thru the archives and see that is is possible to do. Does anyone have the H/T setup on their LT right now and can you offer any adivce or what ones work well?

thanks !

Willie, it took me a L-O-N-G time to get used to not having a H/T shifter... moving my size 16s under the toe shifter took some getting used to again.

Now, I do not even think about it, so thanks for bringing it up... :D

I have seen posts on here, albeit not in a while, about H/T shifters on an LT. No doubt someone will chime in soon. Maybe Dick will join in soon. He seems to have every post memorized and can provide links to old threads even when other cannot. Paging Dick...

Prolly find enough info in the "similar threads" below. Good luck.

Hi Tony,
Yes, I really miss it too and they are sooo much easier to use, as long as you remember toe down and heel up. Occaisionally I would be tired or having a brain fart and get it backwards, that is when you hope no one was watching and you try to make it look like that is exactly what you wanted to do. :(
I sure hope you are getting squared away with your starting issues! I have been following your progress and was rooting for you from Pennsylvania. Thanks so very much for helping me on my issues while you were in it neck deep yourself.

I trust you will be back on the road and running perfectly before the sun sets !
Does a heel-toe shifter kit come with floorboards, a wallet connected by a chain, bandana and "colors" vest?

Just aksin'
Follow THIS THREAD for info on a H/T shifter that Curtis (CharlieVT) got a couple years back. He seemed to have liked it at the time.

That thread also has information on upgrading the shift linkage and another option or two.

Thank you for your encouragement on my clutch saga. I am confident it will be done, just will be a week or so before I can get back to it. Taking the wife's little cage today instead of the LT; my Silverado gets too thirsty, especially on a 2500 mile trip that we budgeted for LT fuel economy. 45 vs 15mpg. Her car gets 30 but I have a big shoehorn to get myself into it! :D
Yup, I've had one for a while now.
I like it, simple, works well.
Here's my post about it from awhile back:

Addendum: Here's a link to the other shifter for the K1200LT that I am aware of:

It darned well better come with those accessories or I do not want it and a black doo rag with a skull would be nice too.
BUT the main reason I want it is because I am scuffing up my brown and white wing tips since I am riding a beemer.
