What is the best way to remove the adhesive used for tire tape weights from the wheels?

Thanks for your help.

CRC Brakleen and a rag. Cleans up brake dust pretty good as well.

Goof Off Adhesive Remover
The others mentioned are good, but Goof Off is great. But even it didn't work on my marriage license. Just kidding Honey if you're lurking around!

WD-40 pretty good.
Brakleen or other spray brake cleaner, faster, easier.
Spray carb cleaner, really fast and easy but don't let it linger on painted surfaces.

Also, carb cleaner is good for cleaning the rim surface so new weights stick well.

I use a plastic "block" to scrape off the big chunks and Goo Gone takes it off and does not dull the paint like acetone (my previously prefered product).

Plus 1... I use to use 3M adhesive remover but GooGone works just as well at half the price. & at over 80 tire mounted in the last 1 1/2 year every penny helps. :D
