Just ordered a new front tire for the '05. Here is what I found for the BT020 today:

SWMotoTires.com: $122.82 ($122.82 + Free Shipping)
MotorcycleSuperstore.com: $99.99 ($99.99 + Free Shipping)
SmallTires.com: $124.26 (103.78 + $20.48 Shipping -UGH!)
DennisKirk.com: $105.57 ($100.57 + Free Shipping + $5.00 Tire Ship Fee/Surcharge)

The Winner?

DennisKirk.com at $98.99 (they beat best price by $1)

I have used DennisKirk.com for last my couple sets of tires not just because of their price guarantee, but because they have demonstrated awesome service. I know because a tire a bought from them several years ago had a defect and they bent over backwards to get a replacement to me lickety split and made the return of the bad tire painless. I was 1400 miles from home, and it made the difference between a great trip and a disaster.

Your mileage may vary.

I hope you get better mileage out of it than I did. After 7,500 miles mine LOOKED like it needed replacing. I wasn't happy with the tread depth when new either. But, when I bought my LT it already had ME880's from the previous owner for a while. I put 12,000 miles on that front ME880 after I bought the bike. With the minimal price difference compared with mileage increase, I'll use ME880's on the front.

Now the rear BT020 is another story completely! I get GREAT mileage out of the rear one!

I know what you mean! I have a brand new rear sitting here and figured I would match them up for this last set before I roll over to the Metz. I figure between 500 mile weekends, a trip or two to SoCal and one up to Wisconsin, I should be ready for the ME880s before summer is out...
