 I just plunk my deposit down on a new R1200GS. I understand how the Tire Pressure Monitor (RDC) works; I have one on my K1300GT. What happens to the Tire Pressure Monitor when you’re off road? Aren’t you supposed to lower your tire pressure to 20lbs? Wouldn’t the RDC warn you of the lower pressure? On my GT, I get a warning light when the pressure is 2 or 3 lbs bellow normal.

I presume the BMW system will allow you to "set" normal pressure since I never use what they recommend anyway.

I do that with the SmarTire system I put on my 2009 GS. So when you let the air out do a reset.

I usually don't let any air out when I hit the gravel trails, Have not tried "mudding" yet.
