I'm pretty comfortable now with 24k miles. What's your experience?

Never needed adjustments for 45K miles .. Once reset to the upper range of tolerance, figure good to go another 12-15k before checking them again.

My new to me LT purchased this summer had according to records first adj at 10000miles and had several tight clearances changed. I purchased it at 17 600 miles and have put 6000 miles on it to date. Will be doing valve check at some point over the winter to see how things are doing.

My Concours has 90K km on it and I do an annual valve set(usually around 16Kkm). They pretty much don't change much the last couple of times. It only takes 2-3hrs start to finish though and dosent use shims. (Purchased this bike 5yrs ago with only 6Kkm)

54K valve check a few months ago, and still within spec.... Never have needed to adjust them at all.

I just sold my LT with 75k on it. The first and only adjustment was done at 44k and only 3 of the 16 valves needed adjustment.

I checked them every 24k just to see whaht they were doing.

My '00 LT had exactly one shim changed in 110,000 miles. I now check at 24K or so.
