Great forum that has already paid off for me. I just bought a used 2005 LT. Filling her up for the first time, I noticed a vacuum when opening the gas cap. After a quick search of the forum, I was able to deduce that a canisterectomy was in order. In less that 2 hours the offending can was removed and problem was solved.

Thanks for the great info!

Cheers,
Scott

Welcome aboard Scott. Check to see that your fuel level tube (in the tank) didn't get crushed. If the fuel gauge doesn't go all the way to the top and bottom or sticks, that is an indication that you have a problem. Not a real difficult fix but takes time. The vacuum created in the tank from the canister causes this to happen sometimes.
