I'm thinking of doing a tech session next month or early Oct.. It would be to install the Fix It Before It Breaks kits from LT Trunk Latch (Evan Guy). Evan has plenty of kits in stock now & I don't know if he will be machining any more.

Give me some Saturday dates that will work & if you want the latch kits installed. Maybe we can do enough for a discount.

It looks like you are 3-4 hours from the Iron Horse Lodge in Stecoah, NC. Would it make sense to swing over your way to or from SMFR? I'm probably going to be there, and that event is 10/20 - 10/22.

Just trying to find a way to have this valuable fix done to my LT before the latch breaks.

Sunday would work better if you can get monday off. That way we could get the drain hole for the clutch cyl. drilled and install a new rear brake rotor all at the same time. If for some reason we couldn't finish on sunday you can ride my other LT home on monday & I would meet you halfway later to swap bikes back.

I'm not sure if my trunk latch has been replaced or not, but I do know that I need to have the assembly over on the left rebuilt (where the belt attaches). Previous owner just used a wood screw. Very sloppy and has actually screwed through to the outside of the rim...but I guess it works.

Oct. 15 works for me too!

What is SMFR? Haven't heard of that before.

Hey Mike either way plan on getting your frame tig welded here on the 15th of Oct. I'll have it all set up for a early afternoon weld. I figure about 4 hrs. of prep work on sat. morning.
