I am thinking that I may need to remove and clean my throttle bodies, your thoughts please. I have a 1998 R1100RT with 104,000 miles. I am experiencing an unsteady idle. The idle will bounce between 900 rpm to 1,600 rpm now after the motor is at normal operating temperature. What besides dirty throttle bodies could be the cause of this?

I check and adjust valves every 6,000 miles and run Sea Foam through the fuel every 6,000 miles. I clean and remove the bypass screws during each throttle body sync, each 6,000 miles with the valve check or adjustment. I spray carb cleaner into the vacuum tube nipple before each throttle body sync. I have new plugs and a new K & N air filter installed.

Any thoughts about what would cause the idle bounce?
