Installing the BMW supplemental brake light part# 61000445579 and I am a little confused where to connect the wire with the "hook" end, please see attached photo.

Just added it to my bike over the weekend.

The wire hooks on the trigger wire on one of the two center brake lights. I think it is a green wire. Not the brown wire.
