OK here we go...
1999 K1200LT
Running well last season.
Took all the plastic off last week and did the following:
1. Removed charcoal filter
2. unplugged temp sensor from airbox
3. added a USB poser outlet
4. added new 330 CCA diehard battery
5. removed cd changer
6. removed radio
7. removed radio controls on the stingray
8. switched to LED lights for the instrument cluster.
Now I turn the key and the instrument cluster and lights come on. But, it will do nothing at all when I press the start button.
I do not hear the fuel pump engage, either.
I have tried:
the reset trick with the throttle
kickstand up and down
centerstand up and down
it is in forward
battery tested good
fuel had stabilizer
ground wires to the frame look solid and clean
fuse for fuel pump/motronics/diagnostic good
Kinda out of ideas. Was supposed to cut the brown wire on this model instead of removing the temp sensor?
Thank you
Brad
