I believe they are relatively easy to repair, but if you want to go new, MAXBMW has them listed in their microfiche at $427. If the shaft is still good, I'd try the rebuild route, unless you want to get shafted.... Others on this forum have rebuilt theirs, and there should be some threads on this subject in this forum or if you check out the maintenance/repair videos on the Illinois BMW Riders - BMW Motorrad Club Northern Illinois - More than just a riders club website.
