Got my new lines and gathering equipment needed for brake line change. How tight are you supposed to tighten the lines. Just snug them done well or is there a torque setting?

Tom, I'm not aware of a torque setting, but I snugged mine down pretty hard, only to have them start leaking a couple oh thousand miles down the road. my only advice would be to carry the proper tools to snug them down again should it happen to you too

The BMW manual lists a value of 18 Nm (13.26 ftlb) for all banjo bolts in the brake system.

Any tricks on how to drain the old brake fluid out of the system without making a hell of a mess?
