hi every body out there
My name is Allen and i am from N Ireland i have just purchased a k1200lt
I do not know much about it and the guy i bought it from knows a lot less
I am going to give it a service oils air filter ect i like attempting things myself
can anyone tell me where the plugs are at and how i get at them

Because the engine lays on it's side on the LT it makes getting at the plugs easy compared to most 4 cylinder bikes. On the LT remove the lower left body panel and you will see a small metal plate that is held on by two or more screws. Once the plate is removed you will see the spark plug wires and you should be able to figure out the rest. I'd suggest you get a work shop manual, you can probably find one somewhere on line that you can download for free.

Hi Allen, that link to Illinois BMW Riders will give you a lot of the info you need to do your own servicing, Kirks videos are very well done. Definately worth making a small donation to his site once you've used them. :)
You'll also find some a bunch of documents in the technical - files section on this site ( Home - BMWLT.com Photo Gallery ).
You should get yourself a Clymer manual for the LT... invaluable. Check pricing for best deal for you online....
