I buzzed over to Soap Lake, Wa on the Valkyrie, for the run to the sun event yesterday. Which was a big disappointment, not many bikes, and 99.99% were Harley's, saw one homemade Suzuki Trike (done well BTW), and a Honda VTX1800. I did however, on the way home, pass a Green K1200lt, cruise along at maybe 59 mph. Wondering if it was someone from the local area?

Hey Rick, I rode over to soap lake last monday with some harley riding friends that were just heading out for Sturgis, we stayed overnight at the Soap Lake resort with some old friends that live there, I rode back solo on Tuesday. I didn't know about the run to the sun event... The weather was beautiful, a little warm, I rode home solo via the sun lakes, dry falls up to US 2 and back to Whidbey Island through leavenworth, I saw 2 LTs during that run, and was amazed, saw about a zillion Harleys tho....not amazing...I hope my friends have fun in Sturgis, I was glad to get away from all that RRRumbling noise altho I'm sure my life was saved countless times while riding with them....lol!

A zillion harleys?...mmm, you only saw about 10% then. That sounds like a great ride, Highway 2 has some great views, I've got pictures from one of my trips with snow about 12 feet deep along side the road, on Steven's pass, made for a chilly ride, but beautiful.

Seems that everytime I take one of the bikes out lately I've been seeing at least once Beemer, which is cool..would be even better to find someone to ride with.
