Over the winter I fixed up the scrapes and repainted my lower fairing. One of the scrapes was behind the shifter and I thought it was caused by a worn linkage. The linkage was replaced over the winter also, but, when I put it all together, I see the shift lever seems too close to the fairing. I assume it's from being dropped.

What would be the best way to bend that back out a little, without breaking it? Heat?

No heat is needed just slow easy pressure as it only needs to move a little. I used a piece of pipe that would slip over the shifter and long enough to get leverage then pull slowly and check to see if it moved enough.
