A little upgrade to my new to me LT. I installed an RCU shelf and GPS mount. I don't like handlebar mounts and prefer the GPS mounted high in front of me.
The shelf: Page 27

I'm still using my Zumo 660. The GPS has been discontinued as has the mount so I was looking around for alternatives when I came across the Aera 660 mount for airplanes. It needed a minor modification (Garmin put a ridge into the mount to prevent Zumo use). 2 minutes with the Dremel and it fits great. $70 - beats the $150-200 for the motorcycle mount.

A couple of Ram mounts (Extra for a phone mount when I get 'round to it and holes for a third if needed) and it looks like this:

Um, that looks like a long reach from the left grip to the touchscreen. No?

The reach isn't as far as it looks. I can easily toggle through screens on the fly, anything else I should be stopping anyway. At 6'4" I am long limbed; this is with a short Ram arm, use a longer one if it pleases you.

Can’t be any worse than the K1600. That is a long reach for things you can’t do with the whiz wheel.
