I will soon be sending my saddle to Russel for a custom re-build. (front seat, rear seat and backrest)

Rear seat comes off easily, unsnap the heating harness - no problem.
Front seat comes off with a few hex bolts - no problem.
Rear backrest comes off with 4 hex bolts - no problem.

Problem - how do you undo the wiring for the heat? Seems like lots of tupperware removal or has anyone just cut the wires and repaired them later with some electrical couplers and shrink tubing.

I don't see a clip together harness for the backrest wiring.

Any help would be appreciated.

The wiring for the front seat is usually zip tied to the frame with one strap. Depending on how large (or small) your hands are, you may be able to cut the zip tie and pull the wiring harness out enough to get to the connector. Just follow the wiring down the frame and you should see the zip tie.

I have never had the backrest off so I can't comment on the wiring.
