Just read a post BMWMOA forum that talks about the latest release of Sena SMH10 V4.1 looks like that there are some improvements for the K1600 Bluetooth connectivity. Take a look here for a few details.

Note the Sena Web page makes no mention of this mod, not even in the release notes?? :confused:

If you own one,and have it registered,you would have received an e mail notifying of an
upgrade being available for the detachable helmet unit for approx $149.00.This unit now
has a usb connection for charging and computer access to upgrade firmware when available
nice unit.

I purchased the Sena SMH10 V4.1 and fed it the undate/upgrade. I found no change in the horribly garbled audio - no matter what the source! Spoken word was fair, but music was very bad - even at a low volume.

Returned it for a refund. The same goes for the Cardo Scala Rider G9. They're both nice systems, but they can't seem to break the 'BMW firmware' barrier...

Wondering if the latest release of the firmware V4.2 might help the 1600 and RT folks that were/are having trouble pairing with the audio systems?

Cut and paste from Sena release notes;
CHANGES
=======
- Multipoint
- Multi-language voice prompts
- Increased A2DP volume
- Improved compatibility with Bluetooth onboard audio systems and GPS devices
- Minor bug fixes in device interoperability, audio management and intercom

Note the "improved compatibility with onboard audio systems".
