I am selling my 99 K1200LT. Some of you may have seen it in years past. I still have the passenger seat and can put it back to 2 up. She has 138,000 and running strong. Stainless braided brake lines and several farkles. For the right price I would even include the cockpit that includes GPS, Military spec tablet, Cell phone mount, Trunk tracker, and Autocom.

My Question is what do you all think is a fair price?

Yes that is very expensive color changing paint.

Mike, If you are in a hurry, the price that most would pay would be the book value and unfortunately, with that many miles, a 99' has experienced a lot of depreciation.

If you are willing to wait and are good at advertising you might just find someone who will appreciate what you have done to the bike and pay accordingly for it and the accessories. When I sold my 02 with 50K a year ago, ( a K1600 was on order) I got just a little more than book and that was because the bike had a lot of accessories.

Mike, I don't know what the market is like where you live, but I just bought a 99 LT with 25K miles on the odometer for $4,500. The bike has a lot of extras and all the receipts. The Corbin seat alone was $1,299.87!
As for the paint job, I don't think you'll recover your cost unless you find someone that absolutely loves that paint scheme.
Good luck

I cover half the US in sales. I took the picture for an article in a trade Journal. Thats actually a "Call Me" sign but if shaka means "Hang Loose" I'm cool with that.

Sorry for the delayed response, life has been less than advantageous lately and actually I have to sell the LT due to dissolution.

I hung it in corvallis craiglist last night for $3,995 / offer

I will deliver to Bay Area as I have business down there if you know of anyone who would like a one of a kind LT

She's been to Cabo twice

Glad to hear you were able to sell it so fast.
I'm still trying to figure out that seat configuration you have/had. Is this a one-person only layout? Did it come from the factory like this? I have a very expensive Corbin seat with passenger seat and arm rests. But since I don't ever plan to carry two up I would rather have the extra space like you had on your bike. I'm thinking that I could put a "carry on" bag on the passenger seat. I have one that fits perfectly and although it can't bulge out too much I think I can get quite a bit of stuff inside of it. I think that's where I'll put my computer and cameras. Also a good place for my meds, which are a bunch.

It is a solo configuration that I fabricated several years ago. I did it for myself and alot of people liked it so I fabricated a few for others.

It actually moves the weight forward as well and gives you a pickup bed.

The only bad thing about it is you have to pick you foot up pretty high to get on it.

But don't you have to mount the bike the same way with normal configuration? I certainly can't mount swinging leg over the top case. That is impossible isn't it?
I mount from the right side if it's on the side stand. From the left if it's on the center stand.

With the trunk forward you don't have the luxury of swinging your foot over the passenger seat.
