Rear Main and Trans seals. Going to replace them but the numbers do not look like anything normal. Anyone come up with any cross over numbers? I normally buy from my local dealer but times are little tigher than usual and if I can save 20-30% on non BMW parts it would go a long ways with the repair i'm engaged in....

That is risky unless you can find the exact numbers. Those are metric numbers for ID, OD and thickness in mm. Dan in Houston tried that with one that was close for a tranny seal (25x40x6 BMW) he used a 25x40x7 (that he could find) and it leaked. He ended up going with the BMW seal. The rear main usually does not leak. It is usually the 19x4 o-ring that leaks as it gets hard and cracks.

John thanks again I did notice the O-ring was very dry and brittle. Will spend the extra $ and go with OEM....
