We out riding enjoying myself, slowing for a red light when suddenly she twitched the handlebars, real hard for about 1 second. Was slowing and passing 40 on the way down. Road was rippled asphalt, from tire is worn and cupped, right at 20k on it, 45 psi of air. Back has about 5k on it, 49 psi of air. Never had that happen before and really got my attention. Glad I had at least one hand on the handle bars. Tires are Metzlers.
Guess she's telling me its getting close to the time she gets new shoes. Believe the new ones will be Metzlers too, they did good except they are scarey on wet roads.

I am not sure what you mean by rippled asphalt, but I have seen some long cuts in asphalt that will grab your tire pretty good. If that is what you were experiencing, all of the new tires in the world will not stop it.
