+1 on Ohio 555. You'll be wishing for some straight roads after that!
Ohio 37 from New Lexington to Malta is very nice - lots of hills and curves (and hills WITH curves), and not as intense as 555. You really can't go wrong anywhere in southeast Ohio.
Maysville, KY is an interesting historic river town. Some nice restaurants downtown.
Downstream a few miles from Maysville there is a neat little ferry crossing at Augusta, KY, crossing over to Higginsport, OH. This ferry is one of only 2 on the Ohio River.
