Hey All,

Going to Sedalia, Missouri for the BMW Rally in a couple of weeks. Anybody have suggestions for a more scenic route from Central Ohio to the rally? Would like to stay mainly on 2 lane, possibly 4 lane highways, no interstates. Wouldn't mind having to get on the interstate for periods of time to get from one scenic section to another.

Thanks!

This may be a good route... Takes you on some nice roads in Indiana and it's been a while but I remember 50 across Illinois to be a nice ride, I'm with out experience when you get into MO on this route but 50 on the other side os St. Louis looks like it would be a nice ride.. 44 between Franklin and Martinsville will offer you some nice twisties to play with..

I took a similar route on the way to CCR at Lake of the Ozarks a few years back but headed even further south crossing the river at Cape Giradeau, then on to Hwy 60 to Springfield. From there you can go north on 65 to the BMWMOA Rally.

The ride along that route was spectacular-no traffic, great local folk who wanted to know about the bike and just a great experience.

I took the northern route home through Jeff City to St Louis then to Indy and Columbus on home whihc was almost an iron Butt Ride!

Think you might get more input/help if you post this over in
"Rides, Rallies and Get-togethers " You might even find someone
going your way.
