Those wondering about the future of Luxo-touring or just curious might want to get hold of a copy of the May 2012 Rider and go to P. 38 and check out the comaro article of the dueling sixes.
SPOILER:
In the end, they found them to be different, and pretty much up to the rider to choose the best. It was a split decision for the authors. The bikes each have their good and bad points. The only thing I found hard to believe about the article was the conclusion of one of the authors that the GTL provided as much wind protection for the driver & passenger as the GW does. Either Honda really mucked up the 2012 design, or they had no wind to speak of, as it used to protect just as much if not more than my LT does. Or so I thought after riding both 2 years back.
Well, its a good read.
