My 2006 K1200R has a BMSK. The fueling is very jerky.
Also have a 2007 K1200S, and the fueling is very smooth. The K12S has a BMSK-P. Which, even if it didn't come from the factory, you can program traction control. I did it, and it works, using MotoScan.

So, I wanted to check if swapping BMSKs would help.
But, the BMSK is coded to a key.
Found out that GS-911 has a feature that allows you to add a new key, to an old know key.
So, I bought me a BMSKP from a K13R and it's coming soon. Including the key.

Has anyone done this? Or used the GS-911 BMSK Key Function?

Bought a BMSK-P from a K1300R including the keys. Once I get them I'll report back.
Wish someone had used the BMSK key transfer function in GS-911.

Not possible to transfer to a new unknown key.
Only to an old disabled key that you want to re-enable.

What I ended up doing was just taking the transponder out and put it on my old key.

Now I have fuel gauge again and traction control. Pretty slick.

Will try it out once I replace the brake hoses. They’re not letting the Caliper pistons retract.

You are having way too much fun with this. I didn't realize the heritage of your S bike, that is very interesting what you have done.

Yeah, was my first BMW bike.
So, originally a K12R

• Engine: K12S
• Kombi: K13R
• ZFE: K13R
• Motronic: K13GT
• Swingarm and Diff: K13GT
• Gearbox: Dovetailed original Gearbox
• Wheels: forged K13S

I also have a fully original, non modified (other than paint) K12S.

But this is my frankenstein bike.
