I am shopping for new aftermarket shocks for my 02 K1200LT
I am a fan of Ohlins... I run them on my Kawasaki....

but after looking at the Ohlins site, the rear shock for the LT has rebound settings only... :(
along with hydr. preload of course...

Do the wilbers have rebound AND compression?

I'm still searching this site for info... but if you have any insight.. thank you. ;)

I did look at one picture of a wilbers rear shock.. but it looks like the installation is cumbersome... the ohlins looks like it fits in nice and clean .....

ok,
as long as I'm talking to myself....

I really like what I'm reading about the Hyperpro shocks...

If my front shock wasn't leaking... I would probably buy just the hyperpro progressive springs...

but since I need a new front shock..... I will replace the pair....

thinking about the
Front: emulsion 460 - BM12-0FG - $589.95

Rear: 3D triple adjust 468 - BM12-8AG - $949.95
both with the progressive springs.

ANYONE have a review on these shocks?

Hi John, just dug out the notes on the Wilbers I had installed a few months back.
Rear shock -
Rebound: yes 0-22 clicks
Compression /low speed: yes 0-22 clicks
Compression/ high speed: yes 0-22 clicks
Pre-load adjustment - preset on order according to rider/bike weight range.
Additional pre-load adjustment can be made with provided hook-wrench/C-spanner, or optional hydraulic pre-load adjuster.
cheers

cws,
did you order the same shocks as I mentioned above? (same part #'s?)

how do you like them?

I got Wilbers, not Hyper-Pro... so the numbers have no relationship.
Ordered & setup through a bike suspension specialist in Sydney that others had used and recommended.
Then installed by local BMW dealer during a major service...
Pricey, but well worth the upgrade!
cheers
