My wife has a BMW comfort seat and likes to ride her R1150RT all year round. One of the things that she didn’t like about it was how her bottom got cold. We looked at several seats, most wanted an arm and a left leg for their product and she really didn’t like the styling.
So I did some searching on the web and found that I could get the heating element from Sports Imports Ltd. at http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/afcarseathea.html for $74.95. These are carbon fiber elements and can be cut to fit your seat. The kit comes with the wiring harness. The only thing that you will need to get is a relay to put into your system, to carry the load.

this is the Wunderlich write up on their heated seat pad which costs about US$180, I bought one for the wife, she loves it...........
What's long been an option in automobiles as well as the LT and the R1200 RT, this is the heated seat solution for any bike. The pad attaches to the seat with velcro straps and inside is a durable carbon element that provides even warmth throughout. The pad includes all wiring for connection and an electronic regulator that allows you to control the heat level. The pad can be used for rider or passenger. The optional passenger seat heater allows both rider and passenger to enjoy the comfort of a heated seat. The passenger heater does not have separate controls. It simply connects to the main pad and is controlled by the main thermostat. Operates with very little current draw.
