On a 99 LT left handlebar, lower tupperware there are two round electrical connections molded into the tupperware

What are these for?

Never mind I figured it out... I believe it is for factory heated gear.

Hey, Mike - never seen that before. Ole Toad don't got 'em. I thought the only 'factory' heat stuff wuz the seats and the pillion back rest; and the grips.

Molded in, huh? A new one on me - hope somebody else with the same arrangement pipes in.

My 2000 has one lower, it is a 12V power source, I use it with a short cord that has a cig. outlet to charge my phone and gps. Bought the cord at a BMW dealer.
The other outlet is up by the computer readout. It is for an intercom system which I do not have.
My SO has both outlets under her left speaker right next to her elbow.

My 2K LTI has wiring on BOTH sides, but only a receptical on the left.

This power plug location is the ONLY factory location that go's battery dirrect for charging or high current use if i remember right.
